After a series of murders is discovered along the trail of the Shifter Underground, wolf soldier Jensen Tate is assigned to find and protect a missing stray. But Lia Crawford doesn't seem to want his protection. When she eludes his watch and returns with mysterious injuries, Tate knows she's hiding something. To discover her secrets, Tate will have to win her trust…and get closer to the woman he thinks may be his mate.
Lia has reasons to keep her distance. The killer is haunting her steps, determined to claim her. He will come after them both if he sees how drawn she is to Tate, though it becomes increasingly difficult to deny her attraction to him. Protecting Tate is vital—but will her deception cost her his love?
I wished for a sequel after Tempting the Enemy with Pale and Jade. Now the second story in the Resurrection series is about Tate, Pale’s brother. As the Alpha’s brother it is his job to protect the other shifters even if they don’t want it. Lia Crawford definitely does not want it but she won’t tell Tate why. Tate does not know if he wants to kiss her or throttle her half the time. This constant battle of wills makes the journey to the safe house interesting and dangerous because something is hunting Lia. Tate hates that she is so terrified of whatever is out there but won’t trust him to protector her.
I loved both characters but I think I would have a constant need to hit them if I ever met them. I don’t know which one is more stubborn which make them perfect for each other. They both have issues they need to get over but they can’t until they realize they need each other to do it.
Now I hope there will be a third story. Who will be the main character I don’t know but I can hope for Mina and Aaron or maybe the feisty Betha. Favorite Quote:
“You could stand to work on your manners there, Sunshine.”
“That’s not my name.” She kept walking.
Resurrection Series 1. Tempting the Enemy
1.1. “Between the Books”: Homecoming 1.2. “Between the Books”: Sister Knows Best
1.3. “Between the Books”: Brotherhood 2. Deceiving the Protector
He glared at the back of her pack. “How about sweetheart, then?”
“How about you kiss my ass?”

Early Review: Enticed by His Forgotten Lover
By Maya Banks
Releases September 6, 2011

"Have we met?"
Answer: a right hook! Because Bryony Morgan pulls no punches. Even when she's very pregnant and facing down the father of her unborn child. She fell for wealthy hotelier Rafael de Luca when he courted her for her beachfront real estate. Then he disappeared. Now, she's in New York for answers—and she won't accept a brush–off.
But selective amnesia after a crash has Rafael puzzled. How could he ever forget a combustible beauty like Bryony?
Solution: return to the island where they met, and relive the unforgettable nights in question—until he remembers everything…
This was an interesting story. It has both characters on shaky ground for most of the book and I did not know who I felt more badly for. Bryony is meeting the man of her future babe and the one she fell in love with who has no idea who she is. Out of frustration Rafe is constantly saying things that hurt Bryony without meaning too. He can’t remember the month that he supposedly falls in love with her. He does not want to cause her pain but the memories aren’t there.
However, his body remembers her. When they kiss it is explosive. When they touch, they fit perfectly. He wants to know if he loves her. She wants him to remember loving her. It’s a very frustrating situation for both of them. Rafe decides to go back to Moon Island with Bryony to try to recover his lost memories. Will it work? We will see.
I do love Bryony’s grandma, Mamaw, and Rafe’s three best friends/business partners Ryan, Cam, and Devon are a part of the drama. The whole town of Moon Island is nosy and all in each other business. I wouldn’t mind living somewhere so special and understand why they don’t want a big resort built there to ruin their peaceful lives.

Author After Dark Signing with Giveaway
What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. I was unable to attend the entire AUTHORS AFTER DARK conference but was lucky enough to go to the open to the public author signing this afternoon. So much talent in one room was a little overwhelming. Camera in one hand and two very packed bag full of books on each shoulder I had a list of fabulous ladies I wanted to meet and set out to do just that.
Meljean Brook signed all my books of her Guardian Series and the Iron Duke. She also signed her novellas in Must Love Hellhounds and Burning Up. She was amazing to meet.
Larissa Ione is still a new author for me with only reading the first book Pleasure Unbound but I loved it so know the rest of her series will be great. I had two copies of Ecstacy Unveiled so I got one signed for me and one for a lucky followed.
Anya Bast signed my copy of Hot for the Holidays that has her prequel story for her Dark Magick Series. It shows lots of promise for her book series.
Sylvia Day is one of my favorite romance authors and she signed my copy of Pleasures of the Night which makes me hope to meet a hot guy in my dreams. She was so nice.
I met for the second time Judi Fennell. The first time I met her was at the Collingswood book festival where she introduced me to her mermaid trilogy. I got her first book then and shortly after had to buy the second and third. I had to know if the other two Tritone girls were going to get a story of there own. Judi said yes but when and how they will be published is still in the works. But at least I know I can look forward to more underwater adventures.
Nancy Holzner signed the second book in her Deadtown series, Hellforged. She was super cool to talk too even though she said her editor wants her writing the 4th book I enjoyed meeting her.
It was a nice surprise to see Dakota Cassidy there. I didn’t realize she was going to be one of the authors in attendance so I had to buy Accidentally Catty which I haven’t read yet but I like the other stories in the series. One of my favorite meeting was with Caridad Pineiro. In her Sins of the Flesh book the villian in the book lived in my home town, Marlton. I had such a fun time laughing with her. It was a blast.
The reason I knew about AUTHORS AFTER DARK was because of the blogging done by Stella and Audra Price. She was one of the bubblist authors I met. She was so nice to me and I got to buy one of her books from her. I read the synopsis off her website and got a signed copy of Sugar and Sin: A Tale of the Eververse. I can’t wait to read it. She said I made her day but really she made mine.
One author I met was Lara Adrian known for her Midnight Breeds which has been on my TBR pile but I haven’t got to read them yet. I know I will love them so she signed two of her Midnight Breeds book I had.
Karin Harlow was really awesome. I loved her first book Enemy Lover and she signed it for me. I can’t wait to read the second book Enemy Mine. She even gave me goodies including a mug to drink my hot chocolate while I read.
Jess Haines signed her novella from Nocturnal that is apart of her Others series. I have her first book on my kindle buy that doesn’t make signing it easy. So as I said above I have a signed copy of Larissa Ione’s Ecstacy Unveiled. If you would like a chance to win it do the following.
1.) What author would you love to meet?
2.) Leave an email address
3.) Be a follower.
